How does HoverMother work on my child's device?
HoverMother installs a companion component on your child's iOS device using Apple's Family Controls framework. MOTHER AI runs entirely on-device โ it never streams raw data to the cloud. Only synthesized alerts and summaries are delivered to the parent's device via encrypted channels.
Does HoverMother store photos, messages, or videos from my child's device?
No. HoverMother does not store, transmit, or archive any photos, messages, or video content from the child's device. All analysis is performed on-device. Only anonymised activity signals and AI-generated summaries reach our servers โ never raw content.
What encryption does HoverMother use?
All data in transit between HoverMother and our servers uses AES-256 end-to-end encryption. Data at rest is encrypted using iOS system-level secure enclave storage.
Do I need to tell my child that HoverMother is installed?
Yes. App 4 That Holdings strongly recommends โ and in many jurisdictions it is legally required โ that parents disclose monitoring to their child. HoverMother is designed as a transparent family safety tool, not a covert surveillance application. Our Terms of Service require all users to comply with applicable laws regarding monitoring disclosure.
Is HoverMother available now?
HoverMother is currently in closed beta in Tennessee. We are completing our Apple Developer Program review for the Family Controls entitlement. Wider availability will be announced via our contact list. Email contact@app4thatholdings.com to join the waitlist.
How do I cancel my HoverMother subscription?
HoverMother subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. To cancel: open Settings โ tap your name โ Subscriptions โ select HoverMother โ Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged after cancellation.
How do I request deletion of my data?
Email privacy@app4thatholdings.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days, in accordance with applicable privacy regulations.
What to Expect
- General support emails โ responded to within 1โ2 business days
- Privacy & data requests โ acknowledged within 48 hours, resolved within 30 days
- Legal & compliance matters โ responded to within 5 business days
- Emergency child safety concerns โ if a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services (911) immediately. Do not wait for an email response.
