Our Commitment to Privacy

App4That Holdings ("we," "our," or "us") is the parent entity, publisher, and operator of consumer software products, including HoverMother (a digital wellbeing and parenting assistant built on Apple Screen Time).

We believe digital wellbeing tools must protect personal dignity. HoverMother is architected around the strict principle that private communications, keystrokes, and audio belong solely to the individual. We never install Mobile Device Management (MDM) profiles, we never inspect raw text messages, and we do not engage in covert surveillance.

Apple Screen Time & Family Controls Framework

HoverMother connects via Apple's official Family Controls framework (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity). In accordance with Apple privacy requirements and App Store Review Guidelines 2.5.4, 5.1.1, 5.1.2(i), and 5.4:

• On-Device Usage & Opaque Tokens: Detailed per-app activity, app names, category usage, and browsing histories are processed strictly on-device by Apple's private reporting framework (DeviceActivityReport and ShieldConfiguration extensions). App and category selections use Apple's opaque ApplicationToken, ActivityCategoryToken, and WebDomainToken identifiers via FamilyActivityPicker so raw bundle IDs, URLs, and app names remain protected on the child's device.
• Zero Communications Interception: App4That Holdings does not collect, transmit, intercept, or store your child's text messages, iMessages, Snapchat, WhatsApp, direct messages, photos, phone call audio, FaceTime audio, or keystrokes.
• No Covert Monitoring: HoverMother operates transparently with parent authorization. We do not support silent, undetected, or hidden background surveillance.
• No MDM Configuration Profiles: HoverMother does not utilize Mobile Device Management (MDM), Safari proxy configuration profiles, or root certificates.
• Parental Authorization: Authorization is explicitly granted by the parent or legal guardian (aged 18+) using Apple Family Sharing and the parent's Screen Time passcode.

Third-Party Artificial Intelligence (Google Cloud Vertex AI)

The MOTHER AI parenting assistant and Parent Slang Translator are powered by Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini).

• Parent-Submitted Input Only: Only text explicitly typed or dictated by the parent into the MOTHER chat or the Parent Slang Translator (along with brief parent-dashboard context such as a child's first name and alert titles) is transmitted to the AI service for processing.
• No Child Screen Time Telemetry Sent to AI: No child Screen Time activity, app tokens, browsing histories, location coordinates, or device identifiers are sent to Google Cloud Vertex AI.
• Enterprise Data Isolation: Google processes queries as an enterprise processor under Google Cloud terms and does not use customer submissions or prompts to train foundation models.
• Affirmative Parent Consent: Parents must provide affirmative consent before initiating their first conversational AI session.

Opt-In Shared Location & Safe Places

HoverMother includes an optional family location check-in feature:

• Strictly Opt-In: Location sharing is disabled by default and requires explicit consent from both the parent and child within the family circle.
• Safe Places Geofences: Parents can define trusted locations (such as home, school, or sports practice) to receive arrival and departure notifications.
• 30-Day Maximum Retention: Opt-in location check-in and safe-place event data is retained for no more than thirty (30) days and is automatically purged thereafter. We do not sell location telemetry to any data brokers.

Ask to Buy & Financial Privacy

HoverMother promotes healthy purchase habits using Apple Family Sharing's built-in "Ask to Buy" feature:

• We facilitate parent-approved App Store and in-app purchase oversight.
• Zero Banking Credentials: We never collect, link, or scrape credit cards, debit cards, bank account logins, or financial transactions.

Information We Collect on This Website

On our corporate website (app4thatholdings.com and app4thatholdings.web.app), we collect minimal data:

• Inquiries: Email address and correspondence when you contact support, privacy, or legal teams directly.
• Functional Storage: Light/dark theme preference stored locally in your browser's localStorage (key: a4th-theme). Never transmitted to servers.
• Zero Tracking Pixels: We do not load third-party advertising cookies, marketing pixels, or behavioral cross-site trackers.

Children's Privacy (COPPA & Global Standards)

Protecting children's privacy is our highest priority. HoverMother is designed to respect the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), GDPR-K, and Apple's strict Kids Category / Family Controls requirements:

• Parent-Only Accounts: Children do not create accounts, log in, or interact with HoverMother directly. All accounts are created and held exclusively by parents or legal guardians aged 18 and older.
• Apple Family Sharing Authorization: Child device management is authorized exclusively through the parent's authenticated Apple Family Sharing account and Screen Time passcode.
• Zero Child Data Monetization: We never sell child data, build behavioral advertising profiles, or monetize child telemetry.

Your Rights & Data Deletion

Parents retain full control over their family's data. You may at any time:

• Request complete deletion of your account and associated parent cloud records.
• Revoke Apple Family Controls permissions instantly via iOS Settings → Screen Time.
• Export or review any account information we maintain.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect technological enhancements, operational changes, or Apple guideline updates. When revisions occur, the "Last updated" date will be updated accordingly.
